Principal’s Report for the LSC

A. CHAMPIONS TEACHER AND STAFF EXCELLENCE THROUGH CONTINUOUS
IMPROVEMENT TO DEVELOP AND ACHIEVE THE VISION OF HIGH EXPECTATIONS
FOR ALL STUDENTS
Enrollment & Access
● Currently there are 783 students enrolled at Richardson.
● On Thursday, August 14, 2025 RMS Open House was held for all families to come in and meet
the teachers, tour the building, register for Parent Portal, and purchase gym uniforms.
Attendance
● Students returned to school on August 18, 2025.
● Student attendance in the first four weeks of school was 94.40%.
● 81% of students have an attendance rate of 90% or higher.
● 19% of students have begun to show signs of chronic absenteeism.
B. CREATES POWERFUL PROFESSIONAL LEARNING SYSTEMS THAT GUARANTEE
LEARNING FOR STUDENTS The principal works with the school staff and community to utilize
the district’s framework for effective teaching and learning to improve instruction for all students.
● Admin has reorganized the staff organizational chart to maximize instructional time and provide
additional support to students.
● Admin has empowered our Instructional Leads through the Instructional Support Team (IST) to
identify and support the various student populations that we serve - GenEd, EL & DL.
● Our Lead Coach is working with a portfolio of teachers to improve teacher practice and academic
outcomes.
● And lastly, RMS has implemented a uniform grading policy, as well as a uniform
homework/classwork acceptance policy.
● To date: On-Track 481 *Academic Support - 115 *Attendance Support - 91
*Intensive Support - 83
Updates: 2 teachers retired and 2 teachers were displaced due to budgetary constraints for the SY 25-26.
C. BUILDS A CULTURE FOCUSED ON COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS Principal
works with staff and community to build a culture of high expectations and aspirations for every
student by setting clear staff and student expectations for positive learning behaviors and by
focusing on students’ social-emotional learning.
D. EMPOWERS AND MOTIVATES FAMILIES AND THE COMMUNITY TO BECOME
ENGAGED Principal creates a collaborative school community where the school staff, families and
community interact regularly and share ownership for the success of the school.
E. RELENTLESSLY PURSUES SELF-DISCIPLINED THINKING AND ACTION Principal
works with the school staff and community to create a positive context for learning by ensuring
equity, fulfilling professional responsibilities with honesty and integrity, and serving as a model for
the professional behavior of others.
